Paws For Thought Dog Training – Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Payment

Your place on any course or session is only confirmed once full payment has been received.
Please ensure payment is made promptly to secure your space.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

Group Classes: If you need to cancel, please let us know at least 72 hours before the first session so we can offer your place to someone else.  There are no refunds for missed classes.

 

1-to-1 Sessions: We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.

1-to-1 Packages: Packages must be used within the set timeframe from the first session:​​​​

• 2-session package – to be used within 2 weeks

• 3-session package – to be used within 6 weeks

• 4-session package – to be used within 8 weeks​

​​Cancellations made after these deadlines are not eligible for a refund.

3. Health & Vaccinations

Please ensure your dog is in good health and up to date with vaccinations before attending any class or session.​

4. Weather Policy (Because We Live in Scotland…)

• Indoor classes: Classes will only be cancelled in the event of an Amber or Red weather warning issued by the UK Met Office.

• Online alternative: If a class is cancelled due to weather, it is unlikely to be rescheduled due to limited hall availability. In this case, the session will instead be delivered online at the same time as your originally scheduled class. Online classes are run via Google Meet. No refunds are available if the class is moved online due to weather warnings.

• Outdoor sessions: Sessions may be cancelled in the event of a Yellow, Amber, or Red weather warning or during long, prolonged rain. Cancelled sessions will be rescheduled, usually within a week.

• Important: To ensure you receive updates about cancellations, please make sure you inform us if your contact details change.  We will use the email address or phone number you have provided to contact you about any class changes.

5. Photography & Media Use

Paws For Thought Dog Training may take photographs or short video recordings during classes or sessions for the purposes of:

 

• sharing moments with you as a keepsake at the end of a course

• marketing and promotion, including use on social media (e.g. Facebook) and our website

 

Images and videos focus on dogs only. We do not intentionally include owners or handlers in photos. 

 

By attending a class or session, you acknowledge that your dog may be included in photos or videos for these purposes. If you’d prefer your dog not to be photographed or filmed, just let us know in advance or at the start of your session — opting out is absolutely fine and will be fully respected.

Client Photography
Clients are welcome to take photos or videos of their own dog during classes or sessions. Please do not photograph or share images of other dogs or handlers without their owner’s consent. While we encourage responsible use, Paws For Thought Dog Training cannot control photography taken by other clients.

6. Liability & Insurance

Paws For Thought Dog Training holds full public liability and professional indemnity insurance.

7. Privacy

Your personal information is treated with care and used only for communication and bookings. We do not share your personal information or any photographs or videos taken during sessions with third parties.

Photographs and videos may be used for promotional purposes, as outlined in Section 5 (Photography & Media Use), but will always focus on your dog. If people are incidentally captured, images will be cropped or blurred to protect privacy.
